Description

The Tararua Dual Layer Wool 1/4 Zip with Pockets

This 450 GSM weight garment is technically perfect to block wind chill while breathing as Wool Merino Garments do; protecting from odour while maintaining body temperature by linking a soft 100% NZ grown Merino 19.5 Micron fibre to 32 Micron Hard Lambswool.

The outcome of our design is soft warm active knits with an anti-pilling stronger outer knit shell.

The Corriedale wool is shorn from sheep on Cape Campbell Station and the Merino from down the Road at Isolation Station Awatere Valley, Marlborough NZ

NZ made from Corriedale Wool outer and 100% NZ Merino lining.

There are three other versions, the Original Tararua 1/4 Zip  Full Zip Jacket & Full Zip Hoody

Features:

  • Saddle Shoulder for comfort and free movement
  • Dual-layer wools linked by natural fibre
  • Corriedale Wool knit outer. A crossbreed sheep with its wool quality bred to be soft yet strong.
  • 19.5 GSM 100% Merino inner from Isolation Station
  • Extra longer length for better cover
  • Lyocell -Tencel tm Linking yarn is made from renewable raw material wood processed responsibly to cellulosic fibres perfect for garments blending different natural fibres
  • Quarter Zip
  • Zip up side pockets

Size Guide: Please note that this garment has a longer back to cover the bum, hence the extra length compared to the Full Zip & Hoody versions

Why is this range of Dual-wool garments called the Tararua?

New Zealand Natural Clothing is based on the Eastern side of the Tararua Mountain Range. Formed as a district in 1989 from 5 councils, Tararua has struggled to shake off its Manawatu branding so we are proud to name this range of garments off our District.
