Having worn the fingerless versions for a year now, I can honestly say they are bulletproof. The thinsulate component is genius because they are warm, yet hard wearing. Not a switch out of place around the often battered thumb seam. I have average men's hands (she tells me) and wear a Medium. She wears a Small. They are very stretchy so unless you have meat cleaver hands, Medium is probably the go. So warm, we can walk on the UK waterfront in Feb without hands in pockets. Amazingly warm.
