Terrific socks - but very large fitting. I am a size 40 shoe and M was the recommended size. I ended up giving these to my husband who wears a size 45/46 shoe.

Thermal Hi Trek Socks
I've owned this brand of socks before and got 10 years plus use out of them. Nice warm socks good for the winter season only, not so much the summer season.

Socks that last
I wanted some warm woolly socks that would last a few years. I have polypropylene sock that are still going strong after 5 years. I think wool socks are possibly warmer, I spent $25 on a pair 2 years ago, now they have holes in the achilles tendon area. I am hoping that your Hi trek socks with 4 different yarns will have what it takes to last 5 years of weekly use (one or two days a week) and weekends of tramping. Just went tramping for two days. After Day 1 the socks had dried overnight, so I wore them for two days running. They were very comfortable with my heavy boots, and still warm (a little damp from sweat ) after 2 days. I find with other socks that they get damp and my feet get cold towards the end of the day, perhaps the sweat builds up to a limit, I don't know how it works. I rate these socks very highly, after 2 days of heavy use! Lets see how well they last, now!
