The coloured thread added to the Original Norsewear Farm Fleck sock for 2 reasons;
- You can tell an authentic Norsewear Farm Fleck sock from the imported imitations (which can wear out in weeks!) by the inclusion of the coloured thread in the heel and toe.
- The coloured threads are different for each size of the sock. The deep blue is for Large 8-10.5 size for washing identification.

First pair in 1990. I'm size US10.5 and size L are loose enough for great bed socks and last a couple of years solid use. The best I've found. They don't shrink in wash. Could do with a little more reinforcement on sole wear points.

Excellent, warm and durable socks, very well made in NZ. I use them in gumboots, worn over an inner sock. They provide added cushioning, too. These socks never wear out! But having some spare pairs is sensible. Highly recommended, for years, now.

The Farm Fleck socks I purchased are a classic! These are wonderful socks that are warm, comfortable, and provide great support in your boots. They last for years too so are worth every cent. I cannot say enough about these socks which I have loved since I first started using them around 40 years ago!!

Great quality socks. I had bought some similar 'looking' socks previously at the big red shed. But they aren't a patch on these. These are the real deal. The quality difference is night and day. I am a size US 12 and I ordered the size L which fit perfectly.
