The New Zealand Long fin eel (Tuna) is ranked as ‘At Risk - Declining’.  They can live up to 100 years and breed only once at the end of their lives. They undergo mass spawning migrations swimming all the way up to the subtropical Pacific Ocean, where they spawn en masse in very deep water.

We, at New Zealand Natural Clothing, are proud to be patrons with The Wop Wops Wetland Park development here in Norsewood. Endangered Long fin eels live happily in the Mangarangiora stream. Operated by The Kui Kui Trust the Wop Wops Wetland is open to the Public during business hours 9am-5pm 7 days. Donation station in the carpark.
